Dependency Agent

Dependency Agent is a Microsoft agent for Azure Monitor VM insights that collects data about the processes running on a virtual machine and their external process dependencies. It sends the process and connection data behind the VM insights Map to a Log Analytics workspace. It requires Azure Monitor Agent on the same machine. Microsoft has deprecated the Dependency Agent, retires it on June 30, 2028, and says not to install it on new systems.
