Automox and CrowdStrike: Better Together

better-together

This week at the CrowdStrike Fal.Con Users’ Conference in San Diego, CrowdStrike announced their new partnership with Automox and our automated, cloud-native cyber hygiene platform. Automox is excited to be working with CrowdStrike to provide access to the Automox console as a third-party application soon to be available in the CrowdStrike Store.

CrowdStrike states in their blog announcing the new partnerships: “With the CrowdStrike Store, customers now have the opportunity to try new solutions from security innovators designed to solve specific cybersecurity challenges that may be outside the scope of CrowdStrike’s current product capability… Our goal is to provide our customers with a frictionless experience that enables discovery and trial of cybersecurity applications that leverage the power and capabilities of our agent and AI-powered cloud-native platform.”

We're excited to partner with CrowdStrike and join in their mission to stop breaches and to align with their customers to achieve a joint security objective.

Better together: A partnership to reduce your attack surface and strengthen your cyber defense

Alongside CrowdStrike’s advanced Endpoint Protection Platform (EPP), Automox enables customers to reduce their attack surface with endpoint hardening that allows the EPP to stay focused on the more advanced threats. The complete coverage of automated endpoint hardening and advanced endpoint protection can raise the security confidence of our joint customers. Together, the two technologies reduce alert fatigue and minimize exposure to known vulnerabilities and exploits. SecOps teams can now stay focused on the bigger threats.

Additionally, Automox empowers you to act on any vulnerability discovered within the CrowdStrike Falcon platform to proactively eliminate exposure before those vulnerabilities can be weaponized. And, with the extensible, automation architecture of Automox, customers can leverage Automox Worklets™ to assist in coordinated response actions for incidents discovered with CrowdStrike Falcon.

With Automox Worklets, Security teams can react across the estate within minutes of discovery. These Worklets are reusable, script-based modules that provide the distributed  ability to modify registry keys, enforce local policies, deploy and remove software, and disable unwanted processes. These controls pair well with Falcon’s advanced endpoint protection, which unifies next-generation antivirus (NGAV), endpoint detection and response (EDR), managed threat hunting capabilities, and security hygiene.

Introducing the 24/72 endpoint hardening threshold

While at Fal.Con 2019, Automox CEO Jay Prassl also presented on a new urgency around the speed to remediate corporate systems and endpoints once a vulnerability has been disclosed – what we refer to as the 24/72 endpoint hardening threshold. In Jay’s keynote presentation, he focused on why we need to rethink how fast we must respond when it comes to combating today’s cyber threats. He also discussed why modern tooling and deployment approaches are required to accelerate your vulnerability response time and reduce operational risk. You can watch his video to learn more.
