Summary
Steve Engler, a system administrator at Oklahoma Farm Bureau, inherited an Automox install that only patched deployed laptops while the enterprise and server side stayed semi-automated. Instead of ripping and replacing the existing stack, he asked to extend the licenses across the environment, built a small lab to learn what Automox catches across Linux flavors and two server versions, and worked up from basic patching to worklets.
