BlueJ

BlueJ is a free Java development environment designed for beginners and used in teaching. It has a deliberately smaller interface than professional IDEs such as NetBeans and Eclipse. You can create objects, inspect their values while a program runs, call their methods, and run Java expressions without compiling. BlueJ is available under the GNU General Public License version 2 with the Classpath Exception.
