Future-Proofing IT & Cybersecurity

Empathy as a strategy

Connect With Us

See for yourself how policy-driven IT Automation saves time and eliminates risk.

As a business, we can meet customers where they are today. Better yet, we can meet them where they will need to be tomorrow. Earlier this year, Automox plotted a strategy to do just that. One designed to put our technology and our data from billions of policy runs at the center of a flexible, future-proof ecosystem that doesn't rely on a crystal ball. One designed to make governance, verification, and speed the underpinnings of risk reduction. One designed to meet the volume and velocity of frontier-model vulnerabilities, with real-time speed. And one designed to deliver both remediation and mitigation at enterprise scale.

Full-flex endpoint management isn't marketing speak for some thinly veiled version of legacy tech or some flimsy AI hack. It's a commitment to our customers.

Over the last few months, Automox has demonstrated what full-flex endpoint management looks like by shipping new and valuable capabilities. We didn't want to just come out and say something, or just show some pretty graphics. We needed to prove that our commitments and our resolve were real. So we did what any quality software company would do. We shipped. We shipped again. And we're still shipping.

Yes, we have the pretty graphic to illustrate what we're talking about. But we also have the substance to back it up.

Patch what's patchable, mitigate what's not

Fundamentally, Automox does three things: It ingests. It commands. And it fixes.

Future-proof ingestion

Automox ingests patches, vulnerabilities, and mitigations from hundreds of sources. We are agnostic in that ingestion, enabling customers to flexibly add or change sources, operating systems, and applications. That's what we mean by future-proofing the ingestion phase.

Flexible command and governance

From there, Automox empowers customers to govern via a central command center. Command and control puts humans in governance roles and machines in execution roles, enabling verifiable risk management at scale. Customers can use our console and/or our gold-standard MCP server to flexibly move between scheduled policies and real-time, event-driven prioritization aligned to their risk tolerance.

Full context

When customers choose the MCP server, they have 100% API coverage under the hood, meaning if they can do it in the UI, they can also do it headlessly in the MCP. If the world shifts more and more to natural language interfaces, they're ready. If they want to bring their AI agent of choice, along with all the context from their wider organization and ecosystem, the MCP server is the answer. This is how we are future-proofing command and control of IT and cybersecurity.

Mitigating unpatchables

But the real secret sauce is Automox's long history of remediation and mitigation excellence. Since 2019, we've been pioneering rapid mitigations at scale, empowering customers to use that same command apparatus to deploy mitigations when patches are not available. And in the frontier-model AI world, patches are often not available. Our platform has been trained on literally billions of policy runs enforcing remediations and mitigations across millions of devices. It knows what works and what doesn't work across every OS.

AI-speed fixes

AI has enabled Automox to move even faster to mitigate risks in real-time. Now, an automated AI pipeline looks for a patch remediation. If a patch does not exist, the pipeline then looks for an existing mitigation from our Worklet Catalog. If a mitigation Worklet does not yet exist, one is drafted in real-time for fast-tracked human review and validation. All of this takes place in minutes, not hours, days, or weeks. Within minutes, Automox ingests, evaluates, and mitigates risk. That's how we use AI to flexibly remediate or mitigate at the speed of AI vulnerabilities.

Evergreen device coverage

We ingest vulns and patches from a wide array of sources, enable flexible governance, and generate remediations and mitigations in minutes. When it comes to deploying those fixes to devices, we have again adopted a flexible, customer-centric approach.

Automox has always had a small, efficient, cloud-native agent to patch and configure Windows, macOS, and Linux endpoints without on-prem infrastructure or VPNs. And now we've added agentless fixes, with Automox Canopy, orchestrated via a customer's MDM or MDMs of choice. Again, we're agnostic, enabling customers to bring their own MDM(s) from Jamf and Intune, and perhaps others down the road. One central command and control center orchestrating and verifying fixes across a wide array of devices – that's future-proofing what can be fixed with Automox.

Tech-enabled outcomes

Overlaying all of this flexible endpoint management is an outcome-driven application we call Turnkey Results. Turnkey sits on top of the Automox platform and is trained on billions of previous policy runs to deliver best practices based on a customer's desired outcomes. It's the tech-enabled service that gives our customers the fastest time-to-value in the industry – less than two weeks. Customers tell us what they want to achieve in risk reduction or MTTR governance, and Turnkey makes sure it happens. Active drift management ensures that customer outcomes stay on track every month.

Demonstrating leadership in full-flex endpoint management

Over the last six months, Automox has demonstrated full-flex endpoint management by shipping great software. In February, we shipped Turnkey. In July, we shipped our MCP server and our Tenable ingestor. And in August, we shipped Canopy with Jamf and Intune connectors. And through all of that, we increased our capacity and reliability to deliver enterprise scalability and performance. More of our vision will be realized later this month and in September, but I won't spoil that fun. We're shipping full-flex endpoint management to future-proof our customers in an uncertain world. Most companies save empathy for the mission statement. Automox put it in the changelog. For me, that's empathy as a strategy.
